Your dedicated guide will meet and welcome you to Maun Airport. You will then be treated for lunch during which your guide will brief you on the itinerary and exciting program ahead, There will also be some time for last-minute shopping before heading into the Delta.
After checking in at a luxury lodge you will have time to unwind and relax.
Dinner and overnight in luxurious surroundings
Early morning pick-up and transfer to the boat station where your 3-hour Mokoro Safari will begin. Mokoro safaris are spent cruising quietly along reed-lined channels and floodplains. You will enjoy the spectacular landscape of this unique region with a combination of mokoro excursions and guided nature walks on the islands and floodplains of the Okavango.
Lunch will be prepared and served by your Mokoro guide on the banks of the Okavango Delta before heading out on a guided Game Walk on one of the many wildlife abundant islands within the Okavango Delta.
Early departure will take us to Gweta, the gateway to Ntwetwe pans.
You will be taken to see a colony of habituated Meerkats who live on the edge of the Ntwetwe salt pan. These Meerkats are human habituated and this, therefore, gives guests a once in a lifetime opportunity to observe their natural behaviours and charming personalities from an almost touching distance!
After visiting and interacting with the Meerkats guests are then transported to the vast Ntwetwe salt pan, which forms part of one of the largest salt pans in the world, likened to being on the surface of the moon, the sight of the salt pan is truly one to behold!
After lunch at Gweta lodge, we will transfer to Elephant Sands where we will spend the night. We will relax and enjoy a drink while watching elephants at the waterhole.
This morning will be an early start to the day followed by breakfast. We will follow the Elephant Highway to Chobe. You will have a relaxing afternoon and enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River. Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious dinner on a different boat on the same river. We will spend the night at Chobe Safari Lodge.
Breakfast followed by a drive through Savuti heading to our destination, Khwai. A full day drive will take us through Chobe, Savuti, and Khwai, ending at the beautiful Mohgotlo Lodge, just in time for a sundowner the Mababe River.
After a delicious breakfast, we have a full day of safari activities in the Khwai Reserve.
After breakfast, we will leave Khwai and enjoy a safari drive to Maun. This is, unfortunately, the end of your 7 Day Botswana safari.
