The water around Zanzibar Islands is considered by experts to offer some of the best fishing in the world, especially the Pemba Channel between Unguja and Pemba islands, its widely known and considered world’s best places for big game fishing. The Pemba Channel itself is Africa’s premier marlin destination. Striped, black and blue marlin, broadbill, mako, sailfish, tiger and other sharks, dorado, wahoo, yelowfin tuna and many other game fish are all to be found in her azure waters. Mafia south of Unguja Island is also popular for big game fishing. The fishing grounds include Mafia Island and its reefs (Mange, Kitutia, Ras Mkumbi), Songo Songo islands, the deep sea crescent north-east of Mafia extending to Okuza, Nyuni and Njove Islands, and in the channels from Ras Bweni to Miororo Island.
Half day trips are either a morning (6.30am to 11.30am) or afternoon (1.30pm to 6.30pm)
Full day trips are eight hours.
Rates normally include full charter of boat, skipper, bait, tackle, equipment hire, lunch (full day) or snacks (half day) and soft drinks.

• Full day: 8 hours: $935 (max 4 pax)
Note: Transfer to and from your hotel will be paid as extras and will depend on the location of your hotel: Departure it’s from Nungwi or Kendwa beach
