Overview

Kibale National Park is a very nice place to observe smaller primates like the black and white colobus, the red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey and the rare l’Hoest monkey. Also nocturnal primates like the Thomas’s galago can be seen. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bigodi Swamp during a 3 hours wetland walk. With over 200 bird species, 8 primate species, mammals like bushpig, bushbuck and the very shy and endangered sitatunga, many reptiles plus an uncounted number of trees.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale forest national park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and greeted by our company safari guide/ driver who will brief you about the safari and later he will drive you to the south western part of the park finally tom Kibale forest national park a home to over 13 species of primates coupled with the chimpanzee the closest relative of man.
The drive will take you through Fort Portal via Mityana Mubende with fantastic views of tea/banana plantations along the road sides and many people’s homestead.
The lush rolling hills of this region provide good “photo opportunities. Have lunch in fort-portal and later proceed to the park for relaxation.
Later in the evening if time allows go for a community walk and meet the local people in (Fort Portal) the people in this town are locally famous for weaving and basketry making, and we can spend some time briefly to examine some of this local art.
Come back to the lodge for Dinner and an overnight at Kyaninga Lode, primate lodge kibale, Ndali Lodge kibale forest Camp, / chimpanzee Forest Guest House

Day 2: Chimp tracking and Bigodi nature walk

This morning after an early breakfast, our safari guide will take you to the ranger station before 8:00am to receive a short briefing about the all process of chimp tracking. After, you will follow the ranger guide deep into the forest to begin the search of chimp.
These delightful apes more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are superb to watch as they play on tree branches or fruitful trees.
The time taken during the search of chimps is unpredictable sine meeting them depends on where they last spent their night from so, a sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots is needed as well as packed water.
Only one hour is allowed with them once they are met, take as many photos and videos with them as well as learning their behaviors.
You will meet many other primate species during the search of chimps like the black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, civet monkeys, red colobus monkeys among many others.
After this memorable experience with the chimps , Retire back to the lodge for lunch, and later go for a guided walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary for more chance to see species of primates and birds like the shining blue kingfisher, blue Throated Roller, see various species of trees butterflies among many others.

Day 3: Departure

Wake up early for breakfast and then after, embark on the transfer to Kampala however, make a stopover and visit the Nakayima tree in Mubende .
The guide will give you more information about the place. Later embark to the transfer to Kampala with lunch break and finally to the airport to meet your departure flight back home depending on your departure flight time.
